To fully understand the mammalian visual system requires an accurate assessment of visual system function which is often compromised in diseases of the retina, optic nerve, cornea, and lens. The Visual Function Assessment Core provides the technical expertise and instrumentation for scientists at Augusta University to analyze visual function in rodent models of ocular disease. The Visual Function Assessment Core is funded by the prestigious National Eye Institute (NEI) Center Core Grant for Vision Research (P30) awarded to the Vision Discovery Institute (VDI) of Augusta University.
