Georgia Cancer Center Immune Monitoring Shared Resource

Overview of Services

The mission of the Georgia Cancer Center Immune Monitoring Resource (GCCIMSR) laboratory is to provide comprehensive immune monitoring services using the latest technology and expertise to perform various types of basic and translational research projects. The GCCIMSR works closely with the Flow Cytometry Core, the Integrated Genomic Shared Resources and the Tumor Tissue and Serum Repository at the Georgia Cancer Center.

 The main objective of the core is to provide standardized immune-based assays, to develop, optimize, and validate new technologies and to support efforts in the areas of human and mouse immunology and immunotherapy.

 Currently the GCCIMSR offers:

  • Immune cell phenotyping by flow cytometry, including intracellular cytokine staining
  • Soluble protein detection by ELISA
  • Soluble protein detection by Flow based Bead Array (FbBA)
  • Soluble protein detection by Luminex
  • Immune cell isolation
  • Consultation, data analysis, and assistance in experimental design, collaborative clinical project development, and grant/manuscript preparation
